Yay so now this new M18 rating means i can go watch POC. Yayyayyay. Haha. Happy as a toad. Those toads didn't specify the all-important fact that they go according to the YEAR you're born in, and not the exact DATE. So all those born in 1986 are damn lucky larh. Muahahs. Laptop's down, no more msn. Sucks like mad. Sigh. I MISS MY MSN!!!

Yay my tests are over, my training's over, finally got some time to breathe and sleep. Just woke up from lalaland, never felt better.

Ok, first things first, wed was the first time in ages that i finally got to go orchard again. Ah i feel so pathetic, rarely can go shopping nowadays already. Sigh. It was like nostalgia time, went to kino, cine, borders like they were all my long lost friends...well in some way. Haha. Wenta look for my christine's and sis' presents, bought this very nice bag for christine which i like alot alot and also predict myself borrowing ALOT. Muahahs. Went for dinner at nydc at wheelock again - my second time - and you know how miserable one mudpie is?! And it's 1o bucks for that one small piece! What a ripoff. But the company was good. :) Managed to get that lit book on How To Read Literature Like A Professor too. Hopefully can wade through it soon.

Friday and saturday were spent in church. I was in church from 1oam to 11pm ok. The sessions were good, learnt at least the basics on the different aspects of cell and traits of a servant leader and stuff. Ah if you want a complete summary, can always come ask. Too much to type down. :)

One part which i found very embarrassing but also funny (at my own expense): we (stef, rae, the interns) went for dinner at Han's near Parkway and we were all seated at the table. Then rae went 'ok..let's pray!' and i immediately closed my eyes and folded my hands, all the while waiting for her to start opening her mouth and pray. After a long pause, i went' eh?' and opened my eyes, and found everyone staring and laughing at me. They all had their thumbs outstretched (see, the last person to stick out his/her thumb would be the one to start praying, according to charis tradition) and not surprisingly i was the only kuku who didn't realise this and had my eyes closed. Of course i became the butt of the joke for the rest of the time there.

I spent today's econs tuition session nodding off most of the time. Sigh. Thanks my dearest niece for accompanying me till tuition time. Hehe. I really love playing pool with you! In more ways than one. Later's gonna be christine's cake-cutting, yay yay yay! Gonna put on more fats! Ah and i gained back all the weight i've lost during youth camp already, no more marie france body, don't know whether to feel happy or sad about it.

Got my new timetable too, i end early on mondays wednesdays and fridays from now on, yay..even more reason to rejoice. And when pe stops FOR GOOD i'll end early on tuesdays too. :) Life is good. Ahah of course..i know the extra time's there for us to do self-study more, but for now...it's carpe diem. Double muahahahs.

Ahh finally i have time to blog again. The whole of last week was really really bad. I guess the cold hard fact didn't really hit me..til friday came. Just the final moment of being there and seeing the coffin being pushed into the furnace would be enough to crack even the hardest heart up. Went for rehearsal that friday night feeling lousy, felt lousier when rehearsal started, and felt the lousiest when it came to my turn to speak. Left church earlier than the rest at 10 on the dot cuz i had gp test early the next morning feeling very very lousy. And thank God for aaron who walked me out to still road to take a cab home, cuz he prayed for me along the way and it really really helped.

Fast forward to sunday, where after the many weeks of rehearsals and stuff, it was finally gonna happen. Four people got saved, and i'm really really glad that we could actually see the fruits of our labour for real, and i know that many seeds were planted that sunday afternoon, even if not all of it shows now. From the start, reading the lines in a monotone (at least on my part) a few weeks ago to what was performed that day, God was really working amongst us; right from the prayer session before the performance to when we actor/actresses were praying in that little lift room, He was there. Four being saved may seem so few to some, ppl may go 'only...?', but i guess God works in his ways in opening their hearts and knows the right time of when to do it, and who are we to question Him in the way He works?

Ahh after that the spoiler came; i went for econs tuition from 3-5pm. Sigh, so sad, i really hate giving up my sundays and this particular sunday was especially hard cuz it was rae's bdae and the whole cell went out. See what happens after my 3 mth contract with the tuition agency is up. :( Was feeling extra defiant and sulky about having gone for tuition, so went to suntec for dinner after that, inspite of the fact tt i had an ECONS TEST the next day. Sat in the front seat in dory's car with jem liwei pat and gloria stuffed at the back. On second thoughts, i shoulda been at the back since im so skinny. Haha. Ah so i wasted time till about 11pm -at least i managed to talk with pat and gloria- and went to sleep not feeling very happy.

Econs on monday (yesterday) was tough, so tough im glad i didn't study cuz i wouldn't have known how to do it anyway. Went home, studied or rather tried to study geog and lit for today's tests. But last minute studying never never works, not in j2 anyway, so let this be a lesson to you ok eunicegirl? Was zonked by 10pm (not from excessive studying but overwhelmed by stress) and so i had no choice but to wake up at 5am this morning to study donne! And i think i deserve to feel proud of myself, cuz whatever i studied for donne, i only did it this morning from 5-7am, and yet i still managed to put together a decent essay. Yay. :) PC lit i fell asleep halfway and geog i emerged from a little less triumphant, cuz i really forgot all the facts already, sigh. Yes yes little victory there.

But you know the moral of the story? No last minute studying.

And have a little more foresight in lieu of whatever happens that'd prevent you from studying for block tests---study way way way beforehand. Get that into your thick numbskull.

And to top off the happy and relieved feeling i have now that almost all my tests are over -only left one tmr, yay yay yay- my afternoon and evening was very very nicely spent. :) Time to go eat dinner--fish again.

The Lord is my light and my salvation - whom shall i fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life - of whom shall i be afraid? Of whom shall i be afraid? Of whom shall i be afraid? Of whom or what shall i be afraid of? ...For in the day of trouble He will keep me safe in His dwelling; He will hide me in the shelter of His tabernacle and set me high upon a rock..I will sing and make music to the Lord.

Yay, the hols are finally here! Not that they're real hols..but what the heck. :) I'm resigned to not having much of a life till dec anyway..8 1/2 more months! Anyway, last night had rehearsal again, and although we didn't do much - just sat around and said our lines (and shivered in the aircon) - i realised that even though there're only seven occasions where i speak, there's so much more to it like making my half-liners sound more naturalistic, as if i'm about to say sth else but just can't get the right words out and break off blah blah blah. I'm not making much sense, but again, i'm still pretty confused. Sigh.. And even though i got my voice back, i started coughing again. :( Clara and i must have some special affinity towards each other; everytime she's sick, i'm not and everytime she's not sick, i'm sick. Oh well we're both sickheads. And sch was practically nothing today, didn't have a single lesson except for econs, and i fell asleep totally during econs tutorial. It was a miracle i didn't drool. Geog lect and tutorial were spent watching far and away, this tom cruise-nicole kidman movie which is super super good! And tom cruise looks bloody sexy with all this thick floppy hair falling into his big eyes. Literally bloody, literally sexy. Mm i get turned on by guys with floppy hair and big eyes. Muahah. Spent my 2 1/2 hour lunch break going down to the airport today to popeye's. And clara and i are now officially popeye mashed potato addicts..i want to go there every friday from now on, heehee. Went for dinner with dory, and dory, better not spoil my precious digicam ok? :( One week more to prepare for block tests..better not screw it, sigh. Oh, and the lit ppl went off to england already, they're on the plane even right now as i type still though, lucky toads. Quite jealous and quite blue, sigh, i want a holiday too! But it's okay, i'll wait patiently for end of A levels and then enjoy myself thoroughly. I don't know why i'm feeling so hyper, probably cuz i'm excited for them too. :) Ahh and there's sch tomorrow again at o745, gotta wake up bright and disgustingly early to see floppy hair aplenty again! Happy travelling by myself to buona vista in the evening tmr too..my poor butt.

Been quite awhile since i updated. Finally all my major assignments are completed. Next hurdle: block tests 3rd week march. Sigh. Hmm..got back my chinese results on friday. I had my hopes up for a six but didn't make it. Got a seven instead. Went around school the rest of the day trying not to feel upset, cuz afterall i didn't study for it, so that was the grade i got, and that is the grade i deserve. It coulda been worse you know..thank God moe announced the new system in the nick of time for my batch. :) The article in Straits Times home section today also helped cheer me up, with its "Retake mother tongue? No, D7's good enough" headline. Yay. Hmm..they didn't mention anything about the exemption of chinese camp in university though..scrapping those three weeks too? It's not too much to hope for right? :) Now i have 5 free periods per week more..yay. Time to start sitting down and make good use of that time to consolidate whatever i've been learning so far, else i'll be in big big trouble. Especially since i'm going to be busy almost everyday the whole of next week, sigh. But it's for serving God. It's worth the effort. It's more than worth the effort. Thanks for reminding me stef. My mind's in quite a mess now. Is it worth the trouble going through dealing with all this now? Is it really necessary? So many people talking about it now, it sickens and worries me.

What happened just now was...straining. Maybe you could say it was strained up to the point where it became traumatic. Breathing in alcohol fumes in a school library while you're trying to do your work is not a pleasant thing. Watching someone sway back and forth while trying to keep his balance pushes up your apprehensiveness. Seeing an extremely flushed red face, topped with an exorbitant physique, is threatening enough. True, being eighteen gives you the right and legality to drink; it's not wrong to drink. You don't go about storing up alcohol in your locker and drink in school though buster. Talk about responsibility to everyone around. Especially to the J1s.

Some stuff i read this morning in the toilet which sobered me up. A godly attitude involves God-centred, Bible-based thinking -- working to view ourselves, others, and our circumstances from God's perspective. Only people with an attitude of willing obedience to God's Word will continue to grow in godliness and maturity throughout their lives. ...Two people don't keep a marriage strong because they never make mistakes; they keep a marriage strong by maintaining an attitude of humility that is quick to confess sin, put the other first, and seek forgiveness. <--this especially; is it so hard to achieve? Makes me wonder, what do i really want...? What do i want to be? Can't answer that question yet. I'm turning eighteen in exactly two months time. Growing up suddenly doesn't seem all that attractive anymore. I find myself grappling with teenagehood, wanting to stay in the prime of my life as long as i can. I find myself slowly counting down the remaining years of teenage life. Not much left, only two years more. Of course it doesn't help much, having to spend your eighteenth year preparing for A levels. But again, there's always gonna be pros and cons to every single stage of your life. Stress being one of the biggie components. Resorted to wasting 4o bucks on face stuff yesterday cuz i get so depressed looking at my face now everytime. Pimples, go away. Sigh. Growing up growing up...reminds me of that old tv series. Only the occasional bursts of sweetness in growing up makes up for it somewhat, no matter how refrained, restrained it is. Ahh, back to studying for geog test.
